Job Summary
AiMS is looking for a technically proficient and creative individual to design software and platforms that meet the project requirements. You will be tasked with enhancing the user experience, and to do so, you need to be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. A strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects will be advantageous.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Gather and ascertain system requirements e.g. program functions, output requirements
- Concept development to meet customer needs through wireframes, process flows. Storyboarding and visual mock-ups
- Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedbacks
- Development of UX interface that meets the requirements of the project such as in the areas of simplicity of the interface and the costing of production
- Work closely with developers to communicate design ideas and prototypes
- Review and improve on the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in usability testing, research and data analytics interpretation
- Resolve and improve on possible UX problems such as in the areas of usability and findability
- Keep up to date with competitor products and the latest industry trends
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Degree in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Working knowledge and experience in Front-End digital technologies e.g. JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS
- Strong portfolio of design projects
- Background in project management and research
- Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
- Proficient in design software (e.g. UXPin, Balsamiq)
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is a plus
